Vectiv Fastpack WP Shoe powers fast hikes with waterproof protection and rockered agility
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve been using the Vectiv Fastpack WP for fast hikes and long approaches. It’s super light, supportive, and the rockered VECTIV midsole really helps keep momentum on the trail. The DryVent waterproofing works great and the grip holds solid on slick and rocky terrain."
The North Face Vectiv Fastpack WP Hiking Shoe keeps us light on our feet and protected when speed and efficiency matter most. Designed for high-output hiking and variable terrain, this shoe blends agility and comfort with waterproof reliability to help us move quickly through miles of technical trail.
The DryVent™ waterproof membrane blocks moisture while maintaining breathability, so we stay dry during creek crossings and sudden weather changes. A VECTIV™ plate and rockered midsole geometry work together to propel each step forward, while high-rebound EVA cushioning softens the impact. Finished with a Surface CTRL™ outsole made from sustainable rubber and aggressive 4mm lugs, the Fastpack offers confident traction no matter the trail conditions.

Not waterproof
Wanted these to be my forever shoes because they are so comfortable but they are definitely NOT waterproof! Even grass with morning dew will leave your feet soaked after a few months of wear. Bummer!

I would buy this again
I wasn't so sure about these when I bought them, I almost returned them. The more I wore them the more I liked them. Comfortable, good shoe.

Incredibly Comfortable but Not Very Durable
I coach shot put and discus, and am on my feet for hours in wet grass and rain. These shoes are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn-legitimately zero foot pain after wearing them for 10+ hours at our invites on Saturdays. The biggest, and really only, con I have is that the waterproofing failed after about a month of daily use. This was a rather large con as I discovered it at the start of a 10+ hour wet and rainy day. If the waterproofing isn't a big deal, then I highly recommend these shoes. They would be great walking shoes in wet or rainy weather or maybe "light" hiking shoes.

North Face is Always Good for Light Hiking
Great shoe for walking in the city, parks and well groomed trails. I can't recommend it as a back country hiking shoe. I need a waterproof shoe for rainy weather in Washington winters. So far, it has kept my feet relatively dry. I'm a big guy over 200lbs and I am hoping it like previous North Face shoes in that holds up well over a long period of time. I have several pairs of North Face hikers and I've been alternating them to keep them in good hiking condition.

Modified VECTIV
So pleased was I with an earlier vintage that the rubber fell off from lots of love. But it was not without some needed development. I have an unusual foot size that fails to meet the standard set by the 14, yet exceeds that of the 13. To measure up to the perfection of both models, I modified my feet to accommodate their roomy interiors. I'm a happy shoe driver! Thanks again.

Poor quality
8 months into hiking with this shoe and it's already falling apart. The side decals started falling off within the first month. Light scrambling over some rocks and tree roots already put holes into the sides of the toe box, leading to water seepage. The only thing good about this shoe is the soles, which are grippy and it has a lot of heel support. I probably only put 60 miles total. For the price, I'm very disappointed. TBH Northface quality has gone downhill the past 10 years by a lot.

Tops For Nursing
I'm a nurse, and these are my new go-to work shoes: so cushioned, light-weight, and comfortable from day one.
