The Class V Pathfinder Belted Short is built for adventure when the days are long, and the water is calling. Made with lightweight recycled nylon and a non-PFC DWR finish, these shorts dry quickly, resist water, and stand up to rugged trails and cool splashes alike. An integrated webbing belt lets us find the ideal fit on the fly, while the elastic waistband adds comfort for all-day wear. You can't have pilling after 3 days of casual wear.
These shorts have great potential-they're very comfortable, and the material feels excellent. Unfortunately, after just three days of wear, the fabric started pilling. I'm not even sure how it happened, but it's definitely not something I expect from a new pair of shorts after such limited use. I can't give more than 1 star if the quality is bad.

I would buy this again
These shorts are comfortable, lightweight, and perfect for everyday wear workouts. The fabric feels soft and durable as I expect from The North Face. The only reason that I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 would the the belt buckle. It is cumbersome to latch and unlatch. Still, overall, they are a great value and I would definitely buy another pair.

Perfect active shorts.
Stretchy and not floppy and super loose and comfy. Plus the belt so they don't slide down. And the zippered side pockets. Oh my. Literally the perfect short for me. I bought one pair and wore them all day long, ordered another, then went for a bike ride in them and realized the way my phone and keys sit in them is totally out of the way, and then ordered another pair as a gift. If a perfect pair of active hot weather shorts exists these are it. Amazing. Leaving a review so TNF keeps making them. Ignore the 1* and buy three pairs. I'm serious. You really should.

Comfortable, fast-drying, and secure shorts
Wow, comfortable, belted shorts for maximum flexibility. The two secure pockets easily accommodate my iPhone and other valuables. The zip line for keys is also a plus. Hopefully, North Face will introduce a pant version for their Fall and Winter lineup.
