Why We Like The Ascent 700 Sleeping Bag
The time we spend sleeping in our tents is just as important as our daytime excursions, so we pack the Rab Ascent 700 Sleeping Bag for our after-dark activities. Robust Pertex Quantum fabric—now made from recycled materials—offers the abrasion- and moisture-resistance we need to make it through a night in the wilderness.
The bag's trapezoidal baffles, fitted hood, and draft collar eliminate cold spots and keep us toasty throughout the night so we can focus on recharging our batteries. Responsibly sourced duck down compresses easily and lofts to trap in heat once unfurled, and a hydrophobic treatment helps the down retain its loft in damp or dewy conditions.

Nice 3 season bag
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Regular
I bought this for our chilly spring and fall nights in the midwest. Thus far I haven’t used it lower than 40F but it kept me incredibly warm and I was only wearing thermal underwear. The neck baffle is way more effective than I thought it would be. I also bought a helium 15F to compare but I kept this one because the zipper on the helium was terrible and snagged constantly. The anti snag feature of the Rab works quite well although nothing is infallible. I mainly car camp these days so I can’t comment on weight or size but I did pack it down quite small with the included stuff sack. As far as sizing I am 5’7” and broad shouldered. I got the regular and its a great fit with a little room to spare.

Great product.
This sleeping bag is great, it is super warm well made and comfortable. It has lots of great features and is very roomy which is great for me since I hate bags that feel like your sleeping in a coffin. Amazing bit of kit would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Perfect
Absolutely brilliant, lofts so well and perfect for my adventures as I’m a side sleeper. Used it up Red Tarn when it dropped to -3 and had to unzip as it was so warm!
