Too big / poor fit

a non-waterproof mid-calf pair of OR gaiters which fit fine and have worn well, but I wanted a shorter waterproof version and these seemed perfect. I bought them a couple of weeks ago and ordered a medium per my shoe size (women’s 9) and unfortunately they were much too large. They didn’t fit well with my hiking shoes and because the top has a buckle rather than a cinch tie I could not cinch them tight enough to fit snugly. The quality was good but I had to return them.

Didn't last one hike

First of all the fit is weird, they were really tight on the ankle and too loose on top, some elastic up there would've been nice, I ended up getting some snow in my boots with them on. (Ordered M) They started ripping almost immediately along the seams. No I didn't stab myself with the crampons but if they're marketed for mountaineering they should be able to take it. Don't buy these they lasted maybe two hours.

A Great Surprise!

So these might be the perfect shoulder weather gaiter. I was out shooting cross country mountain biking after a brief snow and I was surprised on just how well the protected my shoes and legs I used them with a little heavier hiking shoe instead of a boot or a trail runner and they fir the shoes perfectly. No snow was able to get into the my shoes and they stayed up without have to readjust the gaiters. I was a little concerned that they would be a little too short, but they were about the right height. I'll be using these until the weather starts warming up!
