Alpinite GORE-TEX Glove delivers waterproof warmth and dexterity for cold alpine pursuits

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I use the Alpinite GORE-TEX Glove for everything from ice climbing to stormy backcountry tours. The fit gives me great grip and feel without sacrificing warmth, and I can still operate my phone when I need to. The stretch and durability make it a solid all-season performer."

Alpine starts, icy belays, and storm-bound skin tracks all demand a glove that keeps up without holding us back. The Outdoor Research Alpinite GORE-TEX Glove offers high-performance protection with the dexterity we need for handling ropes, tools, and gear in challenging conditions. Combining waterproof GORE-TEX protection with stretch fabrics and mapped insulation, it’s built for serious winter objectives.

Inside, bluesign®-approved VerticalX™ Eco insulation and soft fleece lining deliver lasting warmth without bulk, while goat leather palms provide durable grip. Touchscreen-compatible fingertips let us snap a summit photo or check a map without freezing our hands. With carabiner loops, glove clips, and a low-profile wrist closure, every detail is designed to perform in demanding alpine environments.

Do Everything Winter Glove

My favorite glove for winter activities below 30 degrees. I use these for mountaineering in frigid temps (think midnight starts on the second half of Rainier), and they go right back on during ski season. I run pretty warm, so I've had no issues skiing resort in sub-10 degrees conditions. If you trend cold, there's room slip a merino liner inside them. Waterproof, insulated, great dexterity for the weight, and they're easy to pull on and off to check your phone on the lift.

Perfect Glove!

I've been using the Alpinites for 2 seasons and they have been great for all but the coldest conditions. Super dexterous for how warm and durable they are, I can operate all my buckles, zippers, and other hardware with them on. The large cuff adjustment is easy to use and fits well under my shells. I've used primarily for resort skiing and keep them in my pack when ski touring in case it gets cold.
