Farpoint Wheeled 65L Travel Pack

Slightly disappointing

Has nice big chunky wheels. Doesn't seem to hold as much as my 65L suitcase, probably due to its odd internal shape. Wish I had bought the 80L bag instead.

Suitcase backpack

This is great for travelling, as it’s a suitcase that fully unzips with wheels and pull handle, but it also has straps to wear as a backpack. It’s comfortable, a good size and has a number of components

Ospreys guarantee is excellent. The handle accidentally broke and they sent me a new bag. This bag is great for travelling and great carrying lots of equipment around.

The GOAT of Travel Bags

I have been using my Farpoint for over two years now and absolutely love it. I tend to pack light, so I can easily get 5-7 days worth of stuff in it, without too much stress. I love the wheels and how they just seem to roll over everything and the bag stays upright. The handles are easy to grab and make pulling it out of the overhead bin a snap. After two years and over 20 trips (a mix of business and pleasure) the bag shows not signs of wear and tear and the wheels spin like day 1. My only complaint is how the handle takes up a little space in the middle of the bag, creating a "crest line" down the center. I have learned how to pack around this, but it would be nice to have a flat bottom. I understood what it was when I purchased it, so my complaint is minor because I knew what I was getting into. At first I thought the price tag was a bit steep, but after using it for the past two years, I don't see ever needing to replace it because the bag is so durable and fits my needs perfectly. Based on that, it has been a great investment and I would by another one without any hesitation.

I've been looking for a larger checked bag for awhile, and decided to try this one because it converts to a backpack. I used it on a 10-day winter trip to Scandinavia, and so far it seems great. It rolls well on smooth airport floors, and does a decent job on cobblestones, bricks, and uneven surfaces. It rolled well through crusty snow. The little legs are pretty impressive - I figured once loaded the bag would fall over, but it stands up nicely even when poorly packed. When it first arrived, I was concerned that the interior was smaller than advertised. However, after packing, I found the packing space to be sufficient. I was able to pack Sorel Dominator boots, 10 days of clothes, insulated bibs, and another pair of boots with room to spare. The zippers and compression straps all work well. The show pocket fits small botts and shoes nicely. I didn't use the backpack feature - Once I get that tested I'll post again.

Love the bag for our Europe adventure

My wife bought the same pack for a 10 week trip to Europe (his&hers) in sept-Nov 24. We are in our early 50’s, and we’re doing a mixture of planes, trains and hire cars. The 65litre size for us was just right and enough packing room based on doing our laundry once a week. We had no dramas with 2 packs fitting into taxis/ubers and small enough to be put on overhead racks above us on trains (as opposed to the end of the carriage). We further optimized it by carrying one vacuum bag for my Europe winter stuff to compress it down, and worked on doing our laundry once a week. We had a carry on small backpack, and when carrying all the stuff just carried this comfortably on the front. Most of the time we wheeled the pack, but for stairs or bad cobbles, it was no dramas to carry it 1km and was comfy. We like the main access flap that fully unzips and make it simple to pack/unpack or access
