Move freely from trail to town with the Rockrydge Pant—comfort-driven, harness-ready, and made to roam

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I wore the Rockrydge Pant for a weekend of climbing and camp lounging and didn’t want to take them off. The cotton-nylon blend stretches just right on the wall, and the elastic waistband made them insanely comfy around camp. Bonus: the back zip pocket keeps my keys locked down."

We reach for the Rockrydge Pant when movement is key and comfort is non-negotiable. Whether we’re loading crash pads, wrangling trail gear, or relaxing post-hike, these pants flex with us and keep up through it all. The soft cotton-nylon weave feels cozy against the skin but handles rugged terrain without complaint.

Mountain-tested features like the zig-zag patterned adjustable waistband, secure zip pocket, and articulated knees support days that shift from approach trail to climbing gym to taco truck without skipping a beat. Lightweight and low-profile, they also layer easily under a harness, making them a natural choice for vertical pursuits.

A lot of money for not great pants

Good - not great - pants. EVERYTHING sticks to the fabric - dog hair, threads, burrs, etc. The belt continually twists in on itself to the point that I’m just going to dispense with it, and then have to deal with another belt. AND - the pants are very long-waisted so they pooch out over my stomach. But otherwise they are comfortable and durable.

Great!

Love them so far! I'm usually a size 8-10 (31 inch waist) in pants and got a large because I wanted them to be relaxed for climbing and they are perfectly oversized! I personally love how they sit, just above my hips, loose and comfy. A medium would have been true-to-size but I'm super happy with the large. They feel pretty breathable but I haven't taken them outside yet.

Fantastic pants!

These are fantastic pants. Super comfortable, soft fabric, the waistband keeps them from falling down, full leg mobility. I am usually a size 6-8 and I bought a medium, which fits great. Very impressed with the Mountain Hardwear clothing I own.

Great for climbing!

My new favorite everything pants! I have been living in this pants since I bought them. I use them for work, light outside work, and climbing. I have an athletic build with 28" waist and 38" hips - after reading other comments, I sized down to a S and it fits perfectly. The adjustable waist is so handy and the baggy fit through the legs is great. I am 5'8 and they hit right at my ankles. They are super durable and the green color is sick! The only downside I have found is that, after a ~3mi hike and some scrambling, the baggy fit led to some chafing on my inner thighs. I don't know that I would recommend these for long hikes.

The perfect climbing pants

I bought my first pair last year and they've been my go-to for both indoor and outdoor bouldering ever since. I love the versatile design — the baggy fit provides freedom of movement but the ankle area can be cinched when needed, and the built-in belt keeps them super secure while climbing. The material strikes the perfect balance between softness, technical durability, and breathability. Plus, the loose fit makes it easy to layer leggings underneath for extra warmth in colder weather. They're also just really flattering and stylish. Bravo, Mountain Hardwear!

Favorite pants in a long time!

I bought these several months ago and went back and bought 2 more pairs. I love the fit, I did go down a size though because I didn't want then too baggy. The fabric is great for both warm and cooler temps and they wash nicely, no shrinkage that I noticed. I am hoping that MH keeps this style and adds more colors. The green is wonderful and I get a ton of complements on them. These are so comfortable, they really are the perfect pant.

Run huge

These run huge and I love a baggy fit. I wish I could wear these but they need to come in an XXS. Because of the details they’re hard to tailor. I’m 5’1” - 110 pounds

Meh

Love the fit and cut of these pants - loose but not too baggy, just the right amount of stretch, and super flattering. My only complaint is the fabric. I wore them for ONE climbing gym session and the pants are pilling on the front; not even a place that sees friction. So odd.
