Why We Like The Moab 3 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot
The roomier version of one of our favorites, Merrell's Moab 3 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot is a go-to thanks to its capable design that shines in wet terrain. The waterproof membrane keeps water from rain, creek crossings, and mud out of the boot, while allowing moisture produced by your foot to escape—which means dry socks throughout the day.

Happily hiking feet
These boots are lightweight, comfortable and waterproof and the toe box is actually wide and tall unlike so many other brands I have tried. They are also reasonably priced.

Life saver! Literally.
These shoes literally saved my life! I bought these for a month long dinosaur excavation in Dinosaur Provincial Park. We did a lot of hiking in hard and dangerous terrain with no paths or guide wires. The grip on these shoes is just phenomenal. I was told by an experienced hiker that the shoes I was wearing were the only thing keeping me from falling/slipping. They are very comfortable too. When you are told that a pair of shoes probably saved your life, you have to leave a good review. Now I wear them in the snow and on ice during those Canada winters! I will never buy a different brand.

Great support for the long haul
Great support : I use orthodics and the WIDE works perfectly. I walk Caminos in Portugal and Spain - and couldn’t walk these paths without my Merrills.

Best shoes I ever bought!
Been buying these boots for about 5 years. I have bad ankles and the support is great. Wear them year round. They may not be the prettiest summer shoe but have cut down my trips to the podiatrist for flair ups. Very comfortable on any terrain.

Too hot for summer use
These are way too hot to be considered hiking boots. 20 minutes in 17C temp and my feet were hot and sweaty. Should be advertised as winter hiking.
