Why We Like The Garmin quatix 7 Standard Edition

The Garmin quatix 7 Standard Edition is made to excel in marine environments, but it's also stacked with features for land lovers, too. We like the extensive list of features for captaining our boat, including autopilot control to run the boat away from the helm, Garmin Sailassist, Navionics data for coastal charts and freshwater maps, waypoint marking, comprehensive connectivity with select Garmin chartplotters and remote control of key multifunction displays, Fusion-Link controls of our onboard entertainment system, alerts and alarms for tide changes and dragging anchors, and data streaming of wind, water, and engine data to our wrist. We can also captain our own lives, on land and at sea, with a slew of performance metrics, health and sleep monitoring, built-in sports and workout apps, ABC sensors for elevation data, barometric readings, and a 3-axis electronic compass. The Standard Edition includes smart notifications when paired with a compatible device, Garmin Pay contactless payments, music apps, and safety, tracking, and built-in incident detection for select outdoor activities.

Great for boat captains and fishermen

I’m still learning everything this watch can do. It is the perfect fit for any captain, fisherman, or any outdoor enthusiast.

Good watch, but.......

I purchased my watch to supplement my new workout program. I started a water workout at our local YMCA. They hold 2-45min routines, utilizing an initial stretch routine, then a move into work with a pool noodle, then to a vented paddle finishing up with dense foam barbells. I stay for both sessions, that occur on Mon, Wed & Fri. I had hoped that the watch could be a more integral part of that workout, but I haven't seen a way to totally incorporate it. I have had some advantages as to my general health, including walking, a lot of that with the water workout, and sleep as well as general health items. I guess that there is more to the watch that I am using but hope that I will be able to learn more about the watch and incorporate more of my life with the watch. I would hope that there is a better way to learn more about the watch than a several hundred-page manual. I look forward to learning more uses for my watch.

Holds a charge for a very long time.

I have had the watch for about a month. It works well but is difficult to navigate through the functions. They seem to be there but a little confusing on where they reside and accessing them can be a little cumbersome. It could be part of the learning curve. If that is the case, be prepared to spend time getting schooled on how to use the technology.

An amazing watch.

I have a number of other watches; some smart and some not very. smart. This one is amazing for all the functions it has for physical activities. Will a chess function be next?

Intuitive

Upgraded Q6 to 7 now with touch screen it’s a breeze to gather day and change settings. Very quick to respond. Compliment Garmin on their support for users by way of How To articles and Videos. Even for a dunce like me I can really get a lot out of this amazing bundle attached to my wrist.

Great Features

The watch offers more options than I thought I'd use, I'm using them all. Love the watch. Even though a mens watch, as a female it offers the marine features I wanted. (Didn't see a female watch with the same features) The other options are an added perk.

Disappointing: Screen freezes way too often

For such an expensive watch it is annoying and disappointing to have to reset the watch so often…I do not recommend to buy until Garmin solves this issue!

Nice price

I bought this watch a month ago and am pleased with the purchase. Great battery life and works excellent outside. Definitely worth the price. Do wish the display was Amoled.

My favorite watch ever.

Love this watch. I stay on or near the water. I live by the tides. All I need at the push of a button. GPS, weather, fishing report. It's my info center. Stylish and very practical. A must have for boaters and fishermen.

We utilize the Quatix to pair with the Garmin auto pilot and its great! Besides the fact I can accurately track my sleep/Heart etc. We can't wait to add the Mk3 Decent for our diving soon!
