Why We Like The Hiangle Pro Climbing Shoe
Our training for indoor comp season just upped its game with Five Ten's Hiangle Pro Climbing Shoe. What sets this apart from Fiveten's original Highangle is the unique wrap that focuses on smooth transitions from the inside edge to the outside, giving you seamless friction when rolling toe hooks into a smear. The engineered heel contributes to this fluid motion by helping you adjust heel hooks without losing contact.

Here's what customers have to say
The climbing shoes are generally well-received, with many praising their excellent performance and grip, especially for indoor climbing and bouldering. However, the sizing seems to be a common issue, with many customers reporting that the shoes run very small and require sizing up. Some reviewers also noted the shoes can be quite uncomfortable at first, but tend to stretch and mold to the feet after a few uses. Overall, the shoes appear to be high-quality, but customers should be prepared to experiment with sizing to find the right fit.

Comfortable indoor shoes no time break in
I used to wear the Hiangle Low Volume and Scarpa Drago, but they’ve been hard to find in my size—and the Drago is too expensive for how long it lasts. This shoe is a solid alternative to the standard version. The only drawback is that the heel box is roomier than the regular fit. Still, given the price, I’m happy with what I got. Choose my street shoes size fit well, half size smaller than drago

Soft shoe, able to wear it right out of the box
Toe box and arch area were snug, but the heel cup is very deep, so much that there a good amount of space when i heel hook, but i’m used to that and so far hasn’t hurt any performance

Great climbing shoe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first pair of comp Hiangle. Lightweight compared to regular Hiangle, sticky rubber and good heel fit. Sensitive so probably will be great on outdoor and heel hook type of climbs.

Small!
Great rubber, feels very precise on the wall. Not recommended for wide feet though. Had to go up a full size from my usual. However, tech specs are great!

Not true size
Way too small, had to return. Would probably go up half a size or more from street shoe.

Carries its weight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great quality shoe for indoor climbing, however, sizing is way off. Also in my opinion it’s not suited for outdoors. So two stars off for those reasons

big name but not last long
I got the shoes at the end of Nov. last year for my son. He started to climb in last July. He heard a lot great things for this brand name and wanted a pair better than his entry level shoes. He is currently climbing indoor at V7-V8 level, 2-3 times a week. After 3 month regular use, the rubber already started to break at the front. One shoe has a hole, the other has a long line of cracks. I understand the running shoes need to be replaced much sooner than regular shoes. But I did not expect that it only lasted for 3 months. At this cost, I might need to try other brands.
