Why We Like The Eagle Creek Gear Warrior XE 30in Bag
Getting our gear from point A to point B should be the least of our worries while we travel, which is why the Eagle Creek Gear Warrior XE 30in Bag is built to keep our cargo organized and protected. The 91-liter capacity can easily expand to a massive 106 liters, creating extra room for the gifts and gear we pick up during our trips. The bag offers simple organization with a single zippered external pocket for our quick-grab essentials and a removable interior divider with two zippered pockets to stash our toiletries and manage our cables. An external cargo net stashes our jacket when we touch down in warmer locales, and plenty of external lash points secure any extra gear we need to haul as we venture further into the unknown.

Seems to be good quality.
Seems to be good quality. I'd prefer it to have 4 wheels. But it is a well-made suitcase.

Gets dirty, quick.
I bought the Sand Dune color on sale. It’s a nice, very solid bag. Zipper to main compartment is very heavy duty and a bit cumbersome as a result. But the main issue is that the material is a heavy canvas, that after only one use is almost unrecognizable. It’s a dirt magnet and I have no idea how to clean it or whether to even bother. (See photo). When I picked it up off the carousel I was shocked. And this is after my first flight with it. Go with a darker color and you may be OK. It’s another surprise design oversight from what I consider a super excellent company.

One GREAT bag for long journeys1
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the Gear Warrior 30" for several years (a little older version) and it has now traveled 350,000+ miles on airline travels and still look as good as new. The strong exterior, the double stitched anchors, great compression straps, and great volume has helped me in 5 week trips to Asia, Africa, and Europe. I like the newly added expansion zipper (mine does not have that feature) and should be a great asset to the bag. The bag is well-made, has strong extension handle, and resists the abrasion of airline handling.

I'm very happy with the
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very happy with the quality of the piece that I purchased. Lots of compartments for organization of smaller items. This was replacement for an older piece that could not be serviced. I spent a little more to get the premium piece and it does not disappoint.

The replacement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After about 10 years of service the wheels began to give up on the blue Gear Warrior. I was in the middle of my travels in Miami and ordered a new, this time yellow. Hopefully for the next 10 years!

Just Ordinary Luggage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure how we got to the point that Eagle Creek makes ordinary luggage. I bought my first Eagle Creek pack 32 years ago, when Steve and Nona Barker owned the company and manufactured the packs in Mexico. I bought a second larger one, a Continental Journey, a couple of years later. Those 30-year-old packs are still going, and in many ways are superior to the models that have replaced them. Two years ago I decided my 60-year-old body was ready for wheels, so I bought a Gear Warrior XE. Somehow Eagle Creek had forgotten how to make the 1990s hip belt that slides gracefully out of pockets on either side, replacing it with a design that requires us to lay the pack on its belly and Velcro the hip belt to the bottom of the pack. As a result, I found I just never used the hip belt. The 1992 model had self-repairing zippers, which often needed to repair themselves. The old model had zippers that never needed repair. The 2022 Gear Warrior XE started falling apart after about a year of use and I sent it in for repairs. After a long silence and a lot of my nagging emails, the Eagle Creek repair service told me it could not be repaired and agreed to honor the lifetime warranty. I replaced that 2022 Gear Warrior XE with this 2024 Gear Warrior XE. It's fine. But just fine. There's nothing particularly innovative about it, nothing to earn the term "warrior. " It has the same features as many standard types of rolling luggage, and in some ways is even comparatively lacking. It doesn't have bumpers at the top back to keep the back from getting dirty when we lay it down to open the front. It has an expansion panel that expands at the top but not the bottom, allowing a small expansion that renders the pack top heavy. Thirty years ago, expansion panels vastly increased the volume of the packs. It would be a shame if Eagle Creek turned into Samsonite. Please Eagle Creek, revive the old models, maybe figure out an innovative way to put wheels on some of them. Be a warrior!

Love it with two exceptions…
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my Load Warrior 32 that I had for many years and lots of travel. I’ve taken this new case with me on three trips so far and I love it. I love all the handles and the durable fabric and heavy duty zipper. There are two things I don’t love… the first is the interior straps to tighten down the clothes. The strap in the back is super short - it doesn’t even reach the top of the bag and the other strap is short. I had it full (not over filled) and I had to struggle to attach the two ends. If you had it expanded and use the space the straps won’t work. It’s annoying to the point where I may not use it and I always use that feature in my suitcases. My other area of concern is the connectors for the inside strap and the same kind on the outside. They aren’t the standard heavier duty connectors. I’ve never seen connectors like that. I’m sure there’s a reason but I’m concerned they’ll break or get damaged. Eagle Creek has their amazing warranty so not overly worried but it’s a feature I’m not a fan of. Other than those two things which will bug me every time I use it I will love traveling with this bag.

Came across your advertisement a few weeks back and added BIG BOY to the family. Just made his maiden voyage home to the beach. Dirtier and
