Here's what customers have to say
The Women's Carpenter Jeans receive mixed reviews. Many find them comfortable and well-made, but note sizing runs large and the fit is not always flattering, with issues like bagginess in the waist and crotch area. While suitable for manual labor or outdoor work, customers may need to size down and make alterations to achieve the right fit.

Hugely HUGE
This is a joke, right? Who exactly are these made for? They are truly humongously huge. I’m 5’4” and 118lbs. and bought a 2. I scrutinized over reviews and watched YouTubers reviewing the sizing so I assumed I’d find a decent fit, maybe be a little loose in the waist. Okay, cool, some give when I bend and crouch. Nah, these were made for like two of me. What is all of this super unflattering material in the front? I’m so disappointed because I wanted to love these pants. Can’t size down and this is the smallest size. Cries in petite.

Great cotton work jeans
My favorite jeans for work, very flexible ane durable. The only downside is the crotch likes to wear pretty fast if you have thicker thighs.

Too big
Pants are far too large, I wear a 12 in everything. With the flex fit, these just fall right down. I can remove them without unbuttoning them.

Great Fit and Value, but Durability TBD
I’m 5’8” and 140 lbs, and I wore a size 2 in these pants—normally I’m a size 8, occasionally a 6, so they definitely run large. I've washed them about six times on cold, and while they’ve held up okay so far, the color is starting to fade a bit. I wear them around the farm and really appreciate the lighter weight in hot weather—they're breathable and comfortable for active work. That said, I do have some concerns about the long-term durability. The fabric doesn’t feel as sturdy as Carhartts, so I’m curious how they’ll hold up with regular wear. On the plus side, I’ve spilled all kinds of things on them, and everything has washed out easily. I really like the fit—it’s flattering without being restrictive, which is hard to find in work pants. They’re also a great price—if they last, they’re definitely a win.

Oddly proportioned/big
I’m 5’2” 130lbs with some thick thighs and these (size 6)are way too big in the waist, legs, everywhere. :(

Retro fun
I have these in blue denim and the stripes. They were both too long and required hemming, which is my only complaint. They are very comfortable and I get a lot of smiles and compliments from people when I wear them. They are a throwback to the ‘70’s when kids wore them as well as overalls to school. I don’t like black leggings which everyone has been wearing for years. These are unique but not outlandish. I highly recommend!

high quality but runs very large
nice quality but the sizing is really off. I ordered a size 2 which is the smallest available, Im normally a size 2/3 everywhere else, but they were huge on me. And since its the smallest available I can’t even get a smaller size which is disappointing.

Have lasted well
I have had a pair of these for over 3 years, now worn down to very thin material in places. Love them. Leg length, I had to sew mine legs up to shorten. I also agree that having at least one pocket wider would definitely help. I crawl around sometimes on gravel and dirt as well as carpentry.

Good, but
I like the fabric and all the leg pockets (which is why I ordered these jeans). However, I wish the pockets were wider. I can barely fit in the items I need. Also, only one pants length is just wrong. More choices please. I had to immediately taken them to get shortened so that I can wear them.
