Here's what customers have to say
The Carhartt gloves are generally considered warm and waterproof, though some users experienced issues with the fit and moisture management. While the gloves perform well in keeping hands warm and dry, the sizing can be inconsistent, and the interior may become damp or develop an odor with use. Overall, the gloves appear to be a decent cold weather option, but the fit and moisture control may be inconsistent for some users.

Great heavy duty warm gloves.
Great pair of very warm and lined gloves for the use in very cold weather. Also a great price for it these, I bought 3 for my trip to Antarctica.

Warm, but an inarguable hindrance to dexterity
I was really excited when they came in. I've exclusively owned Carhartt gloves and loved every pair. Unfortunately, these didn't live up. The dexterity in them just isn't there, and the insulation consistently bunched in ways that made putting them on and taking them off a major inconvenience. They did keep my hands warm and dry, but that's really the only praise I can offer. Maybe if I sized down that'd help, but alas, I can't know for sure.

size seems to be smaller
I ordered size large as were my last pair. The new ones seem to be a little tight; they didn't go on or off as my last pair.

3rd pair
This is my 3rd pair of these gloves. I wore the 1st pair out, the 2nd I'm pretty sure one of my kids has and doesn't want to return. I'm not sure what changed with this pair. Usually when they get wet I can hang them over night in my house and they are dry. This last pair the fingers stay damp. I have even hung them in front of an industrial fan in my warehouse at work for an entire shift (9 hours) still damp. Not sure what changed.
