Weaker, less insulating and inferior to the stainless steel version

50 percent less effective in insulating—7 hours vs 14 hours for the identical stainless version. Grade 1 titanium is an inexpensive Ti that isn’t anywhere near as durable as stainless steel. You can easily push in a dent with thumb pressure on this water bottle. That isn’t possible on the stainless steel version. The total weight of this 18 oz Ti bottle filled with water is 27. 5 oz. The total weight of the 18 oz steel bottle filled with water is 30 oz. So for 2. 5 oz in weight savings, you get 50 percent less insulation, a much less durable bottle and more than double the cost. I love titanium—all six of my bikes are Ti. But this bottle is made from inferior Ti and has inferior function to the steel bottle. Unless you’re on the Pro Tour or specializing in TT or hill climbs, the Ti bottle doesn’t make sense while the steel Podium bottle does.

This thing is the real

This thing is the real deal. I went ahead and splurged on it and now I always have ICE COLD water…even over 5+ hours in extreme heat. I use it on my gravel bike and it is a godsend. Love it.

You get what you pay for

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Podium bottles are the gold standard, and these titanium bottles keep the tradition flowing smoothly. Not being plastic is huge for me, and titanium always seems cleaner to me. The insulation works well for keeping bottles cold or warm for cold days (try it!). I use these bottles with carbon cages and they don’t rattle at all. I wouldn’t recommend using these with titanium cages as they will scratch the heck out of them. Enjoy

Almost, but not quite

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Keeps things cold much longer than the plastic bottles. Titanium doesn't compress, so these bottles don't fit well in tight cages. And you can't squeeze them. They do look good.

I'm very particular about keeping

I'm very particular about keeping water cold. I use the Podium Steel, Podium Ice, and Podium Ti. The Titanium works as well as the Podium Steel without the weight sacrifice that comes with the Steel.

Pointlessly great.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I bought this to match my new Ti bike for purely aesthetic reasons. Insulation is great, way better then the plastic bottles, but the Ti bottle is heavier then the plastic ones as well, and frankly the insulation on the plastic bottles is good enough. It occasionally scratches as I place it into my carbon water bottle holders, but the scratches also buff out with a Brillo pad. On the whole it's hard to argue that this isn't a waste of money, but I love it.

This bottle keeps my water

This bottle keeps my water cold while biking which is something I've missed with plastic water bottles. Although I haven't dropped it, I'm sure it'll survive any drops. I got the mud cap for mine so I'm always drinking clean water. Obviously it is super lightweight. It's probably the last bottle I'll ever need to buy. Money well spent.
