Here's what customers have to say
The Brooks Ghost running shoes are generally well-received, with many customers praising their comfort, cushioning, and support. Reviewers say the shoes feel lightweight and bouncy, providing a smooth and responsive ride. The wide toe box is appreciated, allowing toes to spread out comfortably. However, some customers were disappointed with changes to the fit and feel compared to previous models. Some found the toe box too wide or the overall fit not as snug and supportive as before. A few also felt the cushioning was not as plush as earlier versions. There were also mixed opinions on the limited color options. Overall, the shoes appear to provide good comfort and support, especially for those with wider feet, but the fit and feel may not be an exact match for previous models.

I've been buying Brooks shoes for many years and loved every pair I've owned. I usually buy a narrow fit. They stopped carrying the narrow in the Glycerin so I switched to Ghost. The Ghost 15 was great. I bought the Ghost 16 back in June and the shoe wore very quickly. The tread is pealing and almost gone and it has only been a few months. The padding inside has also shown a lot of wear. I walk about 2-3 miles a day and my shoes usually last 6 months to a year. I'm going to try another pair and hoping the last one was a design defect.

The Ghost 16's are terrible. Not like previous models.
I normally don't write reviews but the quality of this shoe has me contemplating what to do next with my shoe choices. I am a long time Brooks Ghost fan and a daily long distance runner. I have been able to wear my Ghosts out of the box with no issues for over 10 years......until the Ghost 16. I am unsure of what they changed in this model but it was not for the better. The toe drop in the front is different causing pain on my big toe and the inside of my front foot rubs. Got a blister in the first 3 miles. Tried again a week later, used different socks and still got yet another blister. I'm unsure if this was a model resign or different manufacturer but I am glad I only bought this one pair of 16's because I'd return them if I was still in my window. I stock up on shoes and leave them in my closet to replace my previous shoes so I'm basically out the money for this model but never assumed this would be a problem because all of the previous models of Ghosts have been fantastic. I'm going to give the 17's one try but if they are similar to the 16's, I'm going to have to switch to a new brand of shoe.

Painful
I returned these. They made my feet hurt and gave me blisters, even after a very short run. I found them to be a lot wider than the previous model, and my feet felt like they were sliding around. The cushioning is also positioned differently and caused pain in my arches.

Fit great
I’m not a runner but I have issues with my feet and need good shoes as I do walk my dog nearly every day, and he’s a big boy. However I needed stability and comfort and found both in this shoe. I also have the ghost 17 which is very comfy but that one’s a darker color so I like to switch off when I’m wearing lighter color clothing I wear the gray shoes. I’m very happy with both. I’ve been a Brooks fan for many years. I don’t believe I’ve bought any other brand of shoe in at least the past 10+ years. They are my favorite!! 😊

Look and comfort both excellent.
Love the look and the comfort. The glycerin shoes had too much padding.

My New Go to training shoe
Ghost 16 has the support and comfort my feet need on my training runs. I love how light they feel on my feet and the bounce I get. My new go to training shoe

Brand has failed
I’ve worn Brooks shoes for nearly 20 years, have owned nearly 100 pairs. But I might be done with Brooks now. I have a new pair that I brought to Australia for a 3 month trip, and right away they formed a crease along the top of the big toe in both shoes, which rubs on the toe and is super painful. No way for me to exchange them because I’m on the other side of the world. These shows are too expensive for this sort of flaw. When I get home these will be thrown out and I will find a new brand. You had a good run Brooks, but this is too big a problem for me to overlook.

The Ghost 14 had a much better fit for me, but Brooks are still the most supportive for someone with a high arch. Just wish they wouldn't keep tweaking it.

Great shoes
I needed a pair of white shoes. They are comfy, and seem a bit wide.
