Here's what customers have to say

The climbing skins are generally well-received, with users praising their strong grip and traction, especially on steep and icy terrain. They are described as durable, with some users reporting long-lasting use. The skins are also noted for being easy to use and install. However, some users have experienced issues with the glue failing, the skins being too stiff or heavy, and difficulties with the included hardware and cutting tool. A few reviewers also found the pre-cut lengths to be too short for their skis. Overall, the skins seem to be a reliable and high-performing product for most users, though some caution is warranted regarding potential durability and sizing concerns.

Staple item

If you’re going uphill and don’t want to slip, this is your skin. I’ve used this skin for over a decade. I have no issue buying a new pair when the old ones wear out because they’re solid and reliable.

Best Skins ever

These are my favorite skins I've had- needed to replace a set and I'm so happy to have these! They're super easy to trim(love the tool) and the stickiness is just right. It's easy to get off & store but stays on perfectly. They have great traction, I've taken them up some real steep groomers on resort where my old ones used to have some trouble when snow was variable. Huge fan!!! Get em!

Grippy as grippy gets

Classically very attached to the snow. BD glue has improved over the years. No longer do you need to rub the skins on a shedding dog before use to ensure you can rip it. Good balance on grip to the ski and rip-ability

Excellent quality equipment

Reliably strong quality that I depend on to get me safely through my backcountry adventures. Never had a complete fail with Ascension skins largely due to the well designed tip and tail clips.

Great product

The skins work fantastic and dry quickly. The two attachment points are solid. Also having the non- adhesive strip down the middle of the skin makes it much easier to pull apart the skins if you choose not to use the adhesive protector

Great product!

Super happy with these skins. Super light and easy to install and take off. Work great on hard pack and deep power. Had great grip on steeps and good glide in flats as well. Have over 30 days this season in them and have no signs of wear. Would recommend!

we have zero snow but…

I taught myself how to trim my newly purchased Ascension skins (much thanks to your SUPER helpful video series)…. and someday when it snows here in Pennsylvania, I’ll be ready to rip (uphill).

Weapon of choice

Good balance of glide and grip, attachments seem light and robust. Have had in the past but of a different design excited to get some uphill travel in with them!
