Love the gloves, hate the batteries
Bought the GoreTex AltHeat gloves several years ago. Gloves are still great with moderate skiing per season. However, I continue to have issues with the batteries. One set always has 1/2 the run-time as the other set, which on cold days is terrible. Given the cost, I don't want to abandon, but I need more reliable system. I will say when I called to buy a set, OR did send me a replacement... but the problem persists.

Great Gloves Need Great Batteries
I own 2 pair AltiHeat gloves. I have purchased 3 spare sets of batteries over the last 4 years. The original on my one pair of gloves never matched the 2.5 hours on high and were recycled after 1 season. The original batteries seem to do better time wise. They must be charged between each use no matter how long you used them previously. If OR can engineer a battery that is 25% smaller in volume and maintain the performance established in the original it would be great.

I would buy because I have to. Wish for better quality
I have a pair of OR heated gloves and a pair of OR heated mittens. The batteries last about two years. This purchase is now my 4th set. I think they should last longer

Great for 2 Years
The batteries work great for about 2 years and then need to be replaced. If they lasted longer, I'd give it 5 starts.

Unimpressed.
Rather expensive, and one of the battery packs was bad on arrival.

Easy to use and durable
I ski everyday and have 2 sets of batteries for each glove. That lets me ski 4 hours with heated gloves.

Will look for an alternative if this does not last long
The battery itself is just okay. So far past batteries have not lasted as long as we believe they should, especially given their price. This is the second replacement as the first two batteries lasted 1.5 - 2 months of 2-3 hrs daily use each.
