First like a glove

Got this for the Exos 48. Was a bit concerned that it wasn’t going to fit, but if you put it over the top first and then tuck it in at the bottom then it fits perfectly. No billowing excess material.

Light & Waterproof

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Have had this in my pack for several months and just had the need for it recently. I liked the clip to make it snug around the shoulder straps and the elastic to fit around the waist straps. My pack was completely dry after a couple hours of light/moderate rain. Kept this over my pack all rainy night and it was still dry in the morning. I liked this so much that I'm buying another for my smaller pack. It's a bit pricey but worth it versus the "bargain" one that didn't fit well and started to leak after a couple of hours.

Great fit, a shame it is not standard with a bag purchase

The rain cover is well designed, a great welcome after looking at the price once I realised my Talon 44 did not come with a cover. The top of the cover has an elastic strap that ensures the bag doesn't move during a walk, and it covers the whole lid of the bag which is great. There is also a pullcord on the bottom too make the cover fit perfectly. The covers first outing was during 8 hours of downpour rain and there wasn't a drop of water through the cover.

The best rain cover I have ever used.

Extra large

I bought this to cover my large rucksack for a hike in the Maroon Bells Wilderness. It worked extremely well. What was really nice and noticeable were the flexible strings/straps on each side that went around both belts. And then I was able to use a top strap that was able to flexibly go around the top part of my ruck. This rain cover successfully covered my backpack and was also so secure with the innovative strap systems that I never was concerned the cover would come off. My stuff stayed dry also as a result after a couple of downpours. Excellent product that I highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are not like the rain covers that typically come with the backpacks. This one does not have the built in tie in system but is more “bungee” style with a drawstring. I feel if I’m not paying attention or if o don’t tie it to something, I might lose the cover from bushes snagging or even the wind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rain cover was a game changer. I put it on my backpack mostly for extra security and to keep my backpack clean while it was tossed in plane and bus luggage holds. Amazingly the cover is still intact and my backpack is still clean.

Lightweight and useful; could be better

small

I used this recently while traveling, as well as doing long and strenous day hikes in wet conditions. It was lightweight, and the cover was waterproof. However, it fit my pack clumsily, risking getting the contents wet. It didn't snug up close to both the top and bottom of my pack- only one or the other, as it only cinched at the bottom. A simple elastic strap that tightened between the top and bottom- on the strap side of the backpack- would go a long way toward a more custom fit. I did not use it on an Osprey pack in this instance but a Patagonia daypack, so perhaps it works better on them?

Not doing its job!

I have the Talon 22, which I have to admit that it's by far the best hiking backpack ever. However this cover is not doing what it's supposed to do at all, it's not holding into the bag properly and not covering the whole bag at any position, the bag gets soaking wet within minutes.
