It is praised for its quality construction, functionality, and versatility for everyday use, travel, and outdoor activities. The bag has a sleek design and is comfortable to carry, even when fully loaded. Almost perfect! Begs for better bottle pockets
Overall I like this bag, but it has a few flaws that others may or may not care about. I really enjoy using it everyday although it’s frustrating how close to perfect it is. The good: this bag is very well made. It feels sturdy, the zippers are stout but glide easily, and everything feels like it will last a lifetime. This is also one of the most comfortable backpacks I’ve ever worn. Lightly loaded or fully packed out I can wear it all day and hardly notice it. Last, the layout and organization is almost perfect for my every day use. I LOVE the divider panel in the main compartment, the quick access pocket up top is excellent and the front Velcro compartment is deceptively large and more useful than I expected. This bag holds WAY more than its 24L size would suggest. The bad: to put it frankly, the water bottle pockets suck. They work well for a 32oz Nalgene, but anything thinner and especially anything thin and tall I find just constantly falls out when I bend over, lay the bag down, etc… if they were a bit more snug and maybe 50% deeper, they would be perfect but as it is they are barely acceptable. Also, while I mentioned that I like the front Velcro compartment, the organizer pockets inside are oddly laid out and too deep for their size. I basically don’t use them because I can’t find anything that fits. So, if you carry a 32oz Nalgene or similarly wide and short bottle you will love this backpack. Anything else and you will find yourself somewhere between mildly and significantly frustrated with the backpack. It’s a shame this pack is nearly perfect, but they really missed the ball on the bottle pockets. I’ve decided to just live with it however if secure bottle storage is important I’d look elsewhere. Fit note: at 5’8” with a medium/short torso, this backpack is at the upper limit in length for me. If you are any shorter than 5’8” you will want a smaller pack (maybe the 18L?)

Nice Pack. Fix water bottle holder
My third Mystery Ranch Pack. Great Pack and great internals space that is well thought out and organized. Here's my BIG COMPLAINT... The water bottle pocket is nearly useless. I may need to design my own. It should be deeper and designed to hold a variety of water bottle sizes. It's a key feature and I don't know many that get it right. If I set the pack down, the bottle falls out. If I go on the plane, the bottle falls out. This is a cheap and easy fix. Be the market leader.

Another 5 Star pack from Mystery Ranch
This backpack is great for traveling. I bought this to carry my work laptop in while traveling through airports on long travel days. It carries my laptop, 2 tablets , headphones and more. Extremely comfortable with a heavy workload on long days.

Best bag I own
I bought this for myself as a treat for getting to my last year of graduate school. I tend to go through bags fast and have difficulty having one that keeps up with me and does not wear down. I use this bag for everything, I travel with it, go to work, class, and my internship. It is about 5 months old and looks brand new. The load lifters are a game changer for an everyday backpack and the storage and organization are great. This is a well made bag and I do not see myself needing a new or different bag for quite some time. Im very happy with this purchase.

Great versatile backpack
I fly hot air balloons and originally bought this to carry all my ballooning gear and electronics. This is a pretty tough task, and ended up giving to my daughter because i needed more admin. I ended up buying another one though because it works great in about every other situation, office, school, weekend trip, get home, etc. Only pack I have that can fit my 36oz Yeti Rambler. Excellent quality and features.

District 24
I had been searching for a smaller backpack that would be easy to use when traveling with my laptop on airlines. The product is excellent and is the best of all the products on the market for this purpose.

Great quality EDC bag
This is my first MR pack and I'll definitely be trying out their other offerings. I got the black colorway and can confirm as of this writing that it comes with the orange interior; I've seen reviews all over the internet that report different colored interiors so I thought I'd mention this. I probably could've done with the smaller District 18, but the larger 24 just gives me that extra volume in case I need it. The materials and construction are great. I have a 16" MacBook Pro in a heavy duty protective case and it easily slips in the laptop sleeve in the main compartment. I love how you can configure the main compartment to what will work for you. The main compartment will easily swallow up the usual stuff that I'll bring during a quick hike, exploring a new locale, or as a carry-on for airline travel. While the harness isn't adjustable it's actually pretty comfortable even with an atypical 25-lb load that I tried out for a day. Everyone is going to have their own wants and needs in this type of pack. That said, here are some things I'd change to my District 24 to make it as close to perfect for me: - I like to blend in with the crowd--think "Gray Man"--so I got rid of the bright orange pull tabs and added some simple black nylon pulls for the main compartment. The orange MR logo on the front still sticks out, but the black zipper pulls makes it way less conspicuous. MR could probably save a little by getting rid of the orange pull tabs, too. - Including strap keepers for the main harness would be awesome. Loose straps bug me. - I'd like to forego the front admin pocket flap's Velcro closure and go with neodymium magnets. It'd be quiet and secure. - I'd move the lanyard from the top compartment into the front admin compartment. The top compartment will easily fit (sun)glasses or eye protection, but with the bare lanyard there's a chance that the lenses will get scratched unless you add the extra bulk of a case. - Redesign the front admin compartment. I'll echo another reviewer's comment that it almost feels like this compartment was quickly designed. As mentioned before, locate the lanyard in there, reconfigure and add more pockets to include one or two with a zipper that'll fit a typical-sized man's wallet. Have one pocket next to the writing tool sleeves be sized to fit a contemporary 18650-sized flashlight. It seems like a lot of wants, but I'm truly nit-picking here to make this pack near-perfect for me for my purposes. I see myself using this and not wanting a new pack for a while (unless they release a new and improved variant).

I love this bag, but I’m struggling with the water bottle sleeves on the side. They are too big and loose, my standard yeti falls out. Any advice?

What are the square buckles on the shoulder straps below the load lifters for? They form a “Y” in the load lifter strap if I slide them up and down. How do I use them for fit adjustment?

What's the distance from the attachment point of the shoulder strap to the highest option for the sternum strap? My wife has an older UA 18 and a newer UA 26 & the sternum strap on the latter is hard to adjust so that it's above, not on, her bust.
